The beginning...

Welcome to my Blog!! I am finally fulfilling my promise to many friends and family that have been asking for a way to check in and stay updated on my random adventures around the globe. So here we are, and I will do my best to keep this current and entertaining ;)

Since my graduation in May from Arizona State University, I have accepted an AIESEC traineeship in Bogota, Colombia with a Colombian hotel called Viaggio. (Thanks to all my Colombian friends & @Jave for ALL your help since AXLDS, couldn't have done it without you!!) The most that I know right now is that I will be putting my International Marketing skills to test to help bring in new ideas and services to their company...what a perfect fit, huh? My start date is August 14th, but I will arrive in Bogota on July 29th to have some time to settle in and visit a few friends before I finally start working in the "real world". I can't wait!!!

The summer has been an interesting one for sure...not quite how I had planned it, but then again what is?! Graduation was amazing, as was my family who flew in from all over the country to help me celebrate- I couldn't be luckier! Anna & I also got in a graduation trip to Guadalajara, Mexico to meet up with our AIESEC friends and kill some time before we took off for S America....not to mention reignite my passion for latin culture yet again, jeje. Since then I have left my home in Tempe, Arizona (and many, many friends...I love you all and miss you every day... @AZ keep the party going!) and fit what little remained of my old life into the back of my tiny car and drove cross country to Tampa, Florida. So now, here I am in Florida where my arrival date to Colombia has been delayed by some 3 weeks now due to a few visa issues (all you world travelers know how that goes!!) and many travel adventures and previous plans have had to be postponed...but that is how it goes! However there are much worse places I could be since I get to spend the next few weeks with my mom and family and hopefully enjoy a bit of the Florida sunshine before I go to chilly Bogota.

And so it all begins....a new life, a new adventure :) As hard as it is to leave a part of your life behind, there will always be the people and the memories that stay with you forever; and there are always new ones to be made. Colombia is just the next step in my journey, and there are still many more places to go and experiences to be had.
